gotohellstephano asked:Can I change this a bit? Because I like the idea
George walked the narrow path of Diagon Alley to Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes slowly, counting each step he took. Ever since he returned to work about a month ago, George felt that getting up in the morning was no longer as much of a process as it used to be. He still missed having Fred at the shop with him and he still dreaded walking into an empty store without the loud laughter of Fred, but with the help of his brothers and Ginny, it was starting to hurt less. The longer it took him to get to work, the more he forgot about walking into an empty store. He kept his head down, hoping to avoid attention; people still stopped him in the street or came into the store offering condolences, but instead of making him feel better, it made George feel worse. Today he was determined to make it to the store without being stopped when he thought he heard a familiar voice calling his name.
“George! George!” the voice called. He looked around for the source of his name and soon spotted Angelina Johnson approaching him. George stayed rooted to his spot. He was friends with Angelina, but she was a reminder of the past, of Hogwarts with Fred and getting into trouble. She stopped when she finally reached him. “Hi.”
“Er, hey, Angelina,” stammered George, trying to make distance.
Ginny sat at the Gryffindor table, her head on her mother’s shoulder looking around the Great Hall. She wondered why it looked so big to her for the first time in five years, but then she remembered there were less people now than there was before the Battle began. She wanted to close her eyes and forget everything that happened for a bit; that Harry almost died, that she nearly escaped death, that Fred was gone. She didn’t want to remember.
George sat next to his mother, a grim smirk on his face. He didn’t get why he was smiling, why he was pushing the pain of losing Fred down into a pit. He saw Percy and was happy, but he saw the missing space meant for Fred and was filled with dread. But he did what he always did when someone was sad: he smiled.
Percy looked around at his family, but he wasn’t sure that he belonged there. George smiled at him, Ginny’s eyes were closing slowly, his mother gave him a look of reassurance, his father a mix between pain and happiness. Despite all the dread and sadness he had faced, he was glad he was with his family.
Neville was surrounded with admirers, the Sword of Gryffindor next to him. All he wanted was to leave, to be by himself for a bit or with his friends. He liked the attention he was getting, but not at the moment. There was to much fighting and death for one day and he just wanted to sleep it off, to stop remembering for a short amount of time.
Luna was by herself just the way she usually liked it. But today, she wished she was with her father and that her mother was alive to see her today. She didn’t know where her father was at the moment and desperately wished he could be with her right now. She saw Ginny across the room, with her head on her mother’s shoulder, and decided to join her. When she sat, she took Ginny’s hand in hers and felt Mrs. Weasley reach for her other. They weren’t her family, but they were good enough.
no but okay, imagine Percy’s wife Audrey being a Muggle, think of the possibilities
- Percy meeting Audrey while out in Muggle London one day and he’s just so enamored by her
- Mrs. Weasley and Hermione convince Percy to go to a Muggle group session to help with anxiety after the war and to help with his survivor’s guilt and Audrey is in the group
- They bond over how they both lost someone they loved and she just gets Percy
- Percy and Audrey go on a few dates and Percy just loves Audrey already because she’s so nice and pretty and understanding
- After going on about ten dates Percy finally tells Audrey he’s a wizard and at first she thinks it’s a big joke and Percy shows her a spell and she doesn’t talk to him for a few days/ sessions but then she reaches out to him
- And Mr. and Mrs. Weasley totally adore her because yes she’s a Muggle but she’s just perfect for Percy because they have similar personalities and it’s obvious they went through some of the same experiences
- Percy tells her all about the Battle and how Fred really died and she comforts him because she might not completely understand but she knows Percy isn’t guilty
- Audrey shows Percy Muggle music and books and he loves them. They read a lot of Greek mythology together because that’s something both wizards and Muggles understand
- When they get married, they have a traditional Muggle wedding because of Audrey. The Weasleys are so confused by it but they try so hard for Percy because he’s so happy and they’re so happy he found someone he loves so much
- Audrey is never left out at family gatherings, there is someone always talking to her whether it’s Mr. Weasley asking about Muggle contraptions or Hermione bonding over their favorite bands and movies
- When they have kids they raise them with a healthy mix of Muggle and wizard culture
- Audrey has both daughters in a Muggle hospital and she drags Percy to every ultrasound and he can’t believe that that is his baby on the screen and he cries every time
- Molly and Lucy are both sent to Hogwarts but before that, Audrey insists that they go to Muggle schooling first which Percy completely agrees with.
- Audrey loves taking her girls shopping whether it’s in Muggle London or Diagon Alley because she feels so honored to be in both
- Audrey’s parents and siblings think there’s something funny with Percy and his family but Audrey just says they’re eccentric
- Audrey decorates the house the Muggle way but they celebrate Christmas and other holidays with the Weasleys
- Audrey loves her brothers and sisters in law because they love asking her questions and love helping her out
- JUST THINK ABOUT MUGGLE AUDREY OKAY
Ginny Weasley who loves sunrises and sunsets and always makes sure she’s around for both even though she might have to drag her sorry arse out of bed every morning just to get a glimpse of that beautiful and colorful sky every morning
Ginny Weasley who has bruises all up her arms and legs from where the Quaffle hit her or from where Bludgers fly into her almost knocking her off her broom. She’s decorated black blue and purple and occasionally green
Ginny Weasley with bloodied knuckles and knees from being outside and tripping over roots and never once complaining, letting the blood scab over. She absentmindedly picks at her scabs when she thinks
Ginny Weasley who puts her long hair in a messy bun and occasionally sticks her wand in it almost forgetting that it’s there until she goes to take her out of it’s bun.
Ginny Weasley who loves make up of all kinds; she has an assortment of bright red lipsticks and neutral colors and the blackest eyeliner she could find.
Ginny Weasley who loves squeezing into the smallest of skirts and is never afraid to show her feminine side, the mural of bruises standing out against her bare and pale legs
Ginny Weasley who loves the color pink even though it stands against everything her brothers taught her. Because she knows she can still beat up each one of her brothers and still enjoy feminine things
Ginny Weasley who loves baking but she’s so bad at it because she adds to much sugar or flour and “please, Mum, let me help” but instead of nice cookies they come out burnt and tasteless but she’s so proud of them because she made them
Ginny Weasley who cannot be talked to until she’s had her morning coffee because she will hiss at anyone who tries to. She never hides the bags under her eyes because “yes I was up late, do you have a problem?”
Ginny Weasley who always finds time for her family and friends because they always come first and screw anyone who tries to turn her away from her
Ginny Weasley who is tough and passionate but forgiving and caring as well because she knows who deserves it
YOU LIKE TEARS DON’T YOU???
okay okay here we go
George Weasley who looked at his twin brother shaking next to him, his eyes nervously glancing at the curses being fired
George Weasley who takes initiative, who decides to be the leader for once, who takes charge and makes sure his best friend is okay
George Weasley who goes off to a fight with the reassurance that Fred will okay, that he’ll see Fred soon, that they’ll be back at the store in no time
George Weasley who fights for his brothers, for his sister, for his parents, for something he believes in because sure he’s young, but this is his fight too
George Weasley who is walks into the Great Hall and sees Fred dead on the floor, who drops to his knees and never wants to get up again because a world without Fred isn’t a world he wants to live in
George Weasley who gets up anyways and fights again, but this time for his best friend who will never grow up and live the life he wanted to live
George Weasley who held Percy in his arms because he missed his big brother and he needed Percy despite the fact that they never got along
George Weasley who also held Ginny because he knows that every time she looks at him she sees Fred and he just wants her be happy
George Weasley who wakes up every morning without his best friend but he pushes forward everyday and continues to make people laugh because even though Fred isn’t there anymore, he knows that Fred would want him to be happy
Literally anything? That’s too much power….
Fred’s feet hurt, he was losing his voice, and he was pretty sure he snogged Angelina a few times in the middle of a dance. To him, these were all signs of a successful Yule Ball. He was currently sitting in the Common Room, stretched out on one of the more cozier couches as George was sitting on the floor.
“And remember that bloke from Durmstrang who almost fought Kenny?” George asked. A lot happened during the Yule Ball that Fred didn’t exactly remember. He and George were able to slip out of Hogwarts into Hogsmead using the secret passage way and were able to find some firewhiskey. They shared among their friends, but that didn’t stop the two of them from drinking most of it. Now hours after the Yule Ball, they were both tired and a little bit drunk and thought everything was hilarious. “Man, Fred, that bloke was mad. Poor Kenny, though, right?”
“Mmhmm,” replied Fred, his head buzzing. He then asked for the fourth time that night, “Did I snog Angelina? I can’t remember. I think I did, though. If I did I hope she doesn’t take it the wrong way.”
George laughed and replied, “I don’t know, Feorge, but trust me, if you did snog her, she won’t take it the wrong way. She knows you guys are friends. Now if we’re talking about snogging, did you hear Alicia dare me and Lee to snog?”
Fred blinked stupidly. “No. Did you?”
“No idea,” replied George throwing his hands in air. Sighing deeply, George grabbed a pillow off the seat and laid down. “I’m tired.”
And before Fred could reply, George was asleep. Fred sat there watching his twin for a bit when he heard someone come down the stairs. He looked up and saw Hermione on the bottom step looking over at Fred and George.
“I thought I heard voices,” she said tentatively. “Why are you two up so late? And why is George asleep on the floor?”
Drunk Hermione… still in school…. hm… Yes, I think I can do that!!
Hermione was drunk; out of her mind, could hardly stand, words slurred drunk. Of course, that had not been her plan when she walked into the Room of Requirement that night looking for a little comfort and a way to relieve stress. Apparently the Room of Requirement thought the best way to relieve stress was to drink as much firewhiskey and wine as she could. She started small and slowly made her way up, drinking faster and more as time went on. Hermione thought of the DA being caught: she drank. She thought of the upcoming OWLs: she drank. She thought of Hagrid being sacked any day now: she drank. On and on she went until she couldn’t move. Luckily the Room of Requirement came with extra waters conveniently placed where she decided to sit. With every drink she had, she had a drink of water; still her head felt heavy and her eyes were slowly starting to close. Just as she was about to fall asleep, she heard the Room’s door open and she snapped her eyes open to see who was coming in. Technically she wasn’t supposed to be out of the Gryffindor Common Room or even in the Room of Requirement. If she was caught again she would definitely be expelled.
But it wasn’t a professor who walked in, it was someone who she would rather not see her when she was not in her right mind.
“’Mione? ‘Mione, are you in here? Please, Hermione, everyone is looking for you,” came Fred Weasley’s voice. Although he was in the same room, she felt as though Fred was far away from her. She saw him look around, a hopeless look on his face, when he spotted her sitting in the corner. “Hermione, there you are!”
Fred ran over to her and looked down. Judging by the look on his face, Hermione did not look good. She looked up at him and slurred, “Hello.”
okay so I think of Fred and George Weasley as Slytherins so much because like…
Imagine Fred and George being the first Weasleys being sorted into Slytherin, a house that wasn’t Gryffindor. Fred was sorted first and he just stood there, refusing to move until George was sorted too. When both boys are sorted Charlie and Percy are just shocked and don’t know what to say. They congratulate;late them, but don’t know how to meet their eyes when they see them in the corridors.
Imagine Mr. and Mrs. Weasley getting outraged and confused notes from their 4 sons at Hogwarts. They reassure Fred and George that they’re proud and tell Charlie and Percy to be proud of their brothers, that Fred and George are obviously very ambitious and cunning, that being those things are just as good as being chivalrous and brave.
Imagine Ron and Ginny going to Hogwarts and being sorted into Gryffindor, and Fred and George aren’t surprised, but a little disappointed that they’re the only Weasleys that are ~different~. That every relative looks at them funny, like they’re about to quote Death Eater beliefs.
Imagine Fred and George sitting in the common room, listening. Listening to kids talk about their Death Eater parents. They hear kids who are proud of their parents but they also hear kids who are so so scared. They reassure those kids, they help those kids, they protect them.
Imagine Fred and George being made fun of for being blood traitors. These words never sting because they’re glad.
Imagine Fred and George being the only Slytherins who weren’t scared to join the DA first, who then recruited those Slytherin kids who are scared their Death Eater parents might be in trouble.
Imagine Fred and George causing the same amount of mayhem, and still wanting to open a Joke Shop, but the desire is much stronger. They’re always labeled as evil, bullies, terrible people. They hate these words, they hate themselves. So they prank and make people laugh. They decide to finish their 7th year because they’re Slytherins and they want to prove their ambition. They’re cunning and they’re able to get what they want quickly.
Imagine Fred and George obviously befriending Harry and Harry never thinking twice about Fred and George not being Gryffindors like the rest of their family. To him, they’re Ron’s older brothers, they’re his older brothers.
Imagine when they leave Hogwarts they’re still friends with those Death Eater kids. They’re able to find out information about Voldemort from these kids who don’t support their parents. When one kid is found out they hide him in their store. Sometime before the Battle, before they went into hiding, a friend’s Death Eater parent finds them, carves the words “blood traitor” into their arms.
Imagine Fred and George fighting in the Battle of Hogwarts proudly wearing Slytherin ties to purposely anger the Death Eaters and Voldemort. They fight for their family, for their beliefs. They wear their matching “blood traitor” scars like medals, like tokens of honor.
Just… imagine Slytherin Fred and George Weasley.
“Hey, Hermione, what’s The Lion King?” Ginny asked her best friend. She was sitting in the living room of Hermione’s parents house during a cold night in December. Both girls were on Christmas break from Hogwarts and Hermione’s parents asked Hermione to invite Ginny over for a night. After recently being reunited with their daughter, the Grangers wanted to get to know Hermione’s friends and although they met and knew Ron and Harry, the never exactly met Ginny. So Ginny was now sprawled out on the living room floor looking curiously at the funny objects stacked up behind some doors.
Hermione came out of the kitchen where she was getting some drinks and snacks and looked over at where Ginny was sitting. “It’s a movie, Ginny.”
“What’s a movie?” Ginny asked, glancing at Hermione. Curiosity was getting the best of her, but Hermione didn’t seem to mind. Hermione placed the snacks and drinks down and sat next to where Ginny was lying.
